Questions about seamonkey or sea pet emergencies

I poured the whole packet of foof into the sea pet tank, what must I do?
Get a clean jar and transfer the seamonkeys to it quickly. Use the air pump to remove clean water from the center of the tank and transfer to the new tank. Also suck up as many seamonkeys as you can to the new tank.
Get a clean white paper towel or even a coffee filter and filter the remaining water from the old tank through it.
Rinse the old tank with clean bottled water and return the sea-monkeys to it.

My sea pet tank only has little brown dots, what should I do?
Give it time.

The water evaporated from my tank and I added a lot of fresh water will they die?
Not to worry. As the water evaporates from your sea pet tank you will find that salt becomes more concentrated. The sea monkeys or sea pets will adapt to the water, but don't throw in salt unless you have thrown in a lot of fresh water. In this case it will be a shock on them. Use the salt from our salt rocks only to break of a pinch to add to the water. Only add small amounts of distilled water or bottled water as a general rule so that they can adapt slowly.

Should I change the water?
No only fill up.

Should I remove algae from the tank?
No unless it becomes a problem. The sea pets love to feed on them and the algae gives oxygen. Indirect sunlight helps to grow algae.

My baby seamonkeys swim to the top why?
They need oxygen.Aerate once a day for the first two weeks with your Million Billion Airpump and thereafter every two days. You can also stir the water with a clean plastic spoon or throw the water from your tank to a clean glass and back twice once every three days to ensure enough oxygen.

My sea pets did not hatch immediately what is the problem?
The must have enough air in the water. The water must be around 10 ounces (300 ml). Get oxygen to the water. Give them indirect sunlight and ensure that the tank is around 22-25 degrees celcius. Remember they are very small at first and it may take up to five days to see them.

I added the sea pets (sea monkeys ) to the water before the 24 hour period was over after the water purifier was added - will they live?
There is a chance that they will not live, but just give it time and you may be lucky enough. Ensure enough oxygen, indirect sunlight.

I measured the wrong amount of water. Will they live?
It will not cause them to die, but will lead to a delay in hatching and growing. If you added too little water, add some more to get to 300 ml or 10 ounces. Make sure you add distilled water or bottled water. If you added too much let the sea pet tank stand in indirect sun and let the water evaporate. Don't drain of excess water.

The room temperature was too cold, what now?
Your seamonkeys live in 22-25 degrees celcius. They will delay in hatching and growth if too cold. Give them indirect sunlight and wait.

My sea pets became pink and some brown, what is the problem?
Oxygen. They need plenty of it. Quickly use your Million Billion Airpump and give them oxygen. Do this twice daily. If you don't have a million billion airpump, use a pippet or throw the water from your seamonkey tank to a clean glass and back twice daily. You can do the above three times daily as well if you remember. You can do this for one minute at a time.

How will I know that my seamonkeys are well fed?
They will grow a white tail from behind - that is their pooh... They will have black stomachs if they are full.
